But the results can twist how hospital administrators prioritize improvements, said [Heski Bar-Isaac](http://www.stern.nyu.edu/faculty/bio/yeheskel-bar-isaac), a professor of economics at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. 'If the rankings aren't counting absolutely everything, then they might be pushing investments and performance in certain directions,' he said."
