##  NYU Stern Raises Record $14.2 Million in Honor of the 10th Annual NYU One Day

On March 11, 2026, the global NYU Stern community of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends marked a major milestone as they came together to celebrate the 10th annual NYU One Day, the University’s day of giving.

Together, Stern raised an all-time high of $14.2 million through over 2,000 gifts, which helped set a special 10th anniversary record for the School. This year’s momentum was fueled by alumni support, led by Executive Board Member Christina Dennis (BS ’80), whose matching challenge inspired alumni and parents alike to rally behind the effort. Together, their generosity helped unlock a series of matching gift challenges that amplified the impact of every contribution.

- **$1 Million Match for 10 Years of NYU One Day:** A generous $1 million challenge initiative from Stern’s Executive Board and Alumni Council.
- **The Stern 10 Challenge:** Kristen Dean (MBA ’78) contributed $100,000 to scholarships after 100 alumni from the last decade made a gift.
- **Scholarship Challenge:** A $250,000 challenge from Riyadh Lai (MBA ’95) was successfully unlocked by the first 250 donors of the day.
- **Parent Challenge:** Carter Pottash (Stern ’27 and CAS ’29) stepped forward with a $25,000 gift to encourage the first 25 parents to contribute to One Day

As part of One Day, and in celebration of Women’s History Month, the Stern Women’s Forum hosted a special event with Stern Executive Board Member and Chair Emeritus Alison Mass (BS ’80, MBA ’81), chairman of investment banking at Goldman Sachs. She was joined by Sonali Basak (MBA ’20), chief investment strategist at iCapital and former global finance correspondent at Bloomberg News, for a conversation focused on her career path and navigating changes across the financial sector.

Funds raised from NYU One Day provide critical support for student scholarships, groundbreaking faculty research, and School-wide initiatives that directly enrich the student and alumni experience. As a result of the generous support from Stern alumni community, the School marked a milestone year with historic success.
