# Carla Harris Discusses Leadership in a Lubin Lecture Series Event

November 28, 2018 ![Lubin Lecture Series: Carla Harris](/sites/default/files/styles/246w/public/assets/images/Carla_Harris_Recap.jpg?itok=_d6epBGz) Carla Harris, vice chairman, managing director, and senior client advisor at Morgan Stanley, joined J.P. Eggers, vice dean of MBA & graduate programs, for a discussion on leadership in the finance industry in the 21st century. With a wealth of insights from her 30-year career, Ms. Harris shared how the role of a leader has evolved and offered a list of eight things that a leader should be intentional about—including authenticity, inclusivity, and creating other leaders.

Her list provided a foundation for an engaging and empowering discussion on leading through changing times, managing diverse teams, and exercising your voice.

Mor Armony, vice dean of faculty, introduced the speakers to kick off the fireside chat. After the conversation, guests enjoyed a reception with Ms. Harris.
