Ideas Wanted.
Not any old ideas. What we’re interested in are disruptive ideas; that is, ideas with the power for great impact and influence. Ideas that challenge assumed boundaries and inspire a sense of what’s possible. The $300K Entrepreneurs Challenge provides you with the framework and motivation you’ll need to think what no one else is thinking and do what no one else is doing.

Three Venture Tracks.
The $300K Entrepreneurs Challenge comprises three individual competitions, whose winners will share a total of $300K in cash and startup services.
  • New Venture Competition | The NYU Stern New Venture Competition is the premier platform for identifying, nurturing and showcasing entrepreneurial talent at NYU. The competition challenges aspiring business owners and those excited by the new venture startup process to take their ideas from concept to market. The NYU Stern New Venture Competition winners share the $100,000 Ira Rennert Prize.
  • Social Venture Competition | The NYU Stern Social Venture Competition recognizes and supports the growing number of students and alumni interested in using their entrepreneurial skills to create innovative approaches to tackling social problems, here and abroad. Social Venture Competition winners share a $75,000 prize to help launch their ventures.
  • Technology Venture Competition | Each year, NYU students, faculty and researchers create scores of cutting edge inventions across the information technology, life science and energy sectors. The NYU Technology Venture Competition, sponsored by the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, serves as a catalyst for the formation of new and the acceleration of existing early-stage startups based on these exciting innovations. Winners share a $100,000 prize.

Who Can Enter?
All students, faculty, researchers, and alumni of New York University are welcome to compete. Download the full eligibility requirements for each of the three competitions below. Prior business education or experience is not necessary.
Signed copies of these forms will be required on 11/10/16, along with submissions for Round 1 online judging.

How to Enter.
The official entry deadline for the $300K Entrepreneurs Challenge is 10/6/2016 by 1:00 pm.
  1. Each team will need to register and pay the required entry fees HERE.
    • The qualifying NYU affiliate should register first and pay the team fee. Upon registration, the NYU affiliate will be asked to submit the names and email addresses of all other team members.
    • After the NYU affiliate has registered and paid, each team member should complete his/her own registration. Each team member should use the exact email address entered by the NYU affiliate to avoid being asked to pay a duplicate registration fee.
  2. Additionally, teams will need to complete a 1-page Opportunity Summary, which will be evaluated on the basis of completion only.
