We automatically enroll students who are studying abroad in supplemental health insurance, which provides coverage for medical services while abroad.  The HTH plan includes an extensive network of Western trained and credentialed health professionals, in addition to protection in the event of illness or injury while abroad. There is no additional student cost for this coverage.

NYU Traveler

New York University's Department of Public Safety is committed to providing NYU community members while they travel abroad with the same level of safety and security that they have become accustomed to while at the Washington Square campus.  To assist in communication with all those who study and travel abroad, NYU has implemented NYU Traveler, a web-based application that provides the NYU community with a secure means of entering and updating travel itineraries, contact numbers, and flight or other transportation information.  NYU Traveler provides up-to-date information enabling NYU to locate and contact students, faculty, and staff while abroad in case of an emergency.

Students who have an emergency while studying abroad should contact NYU Public Safety, at 212-998-2222.  They are available 24-hours per day/7-days per week.
