MBA exchange students register online once they have been provided a NYU network ID. Typically registration will take place in mid-June for the Fall term and early December for the Spring term.
Exchange students are permitted to take between 12-15 Stern credits. The number of courses students take depends on the requirements of their home institution. This information is often based on classroom contact hours, for which we use the following guidelines:
|Number of Stern Credits||Classroom Contact Hours|
|12 credits||148 hours|
|13.5 credits||167 hours|
|15 credits||185 hours|
Exchange students are permitted to enroll in any open, graduate level MBA courses (subject to availability) except Core, Study Abroad, “Application Only”, and non-Stern courses. While every effort will be made to place students in their first choice, electives are not guaranteed. For certain Finance electives, there is a slightly greater ability to accommodate course requests in the Spring semester as opposed to the Fall. Please refer to the semester course schedule posted online (choose IMP for student type).
