Jeanne A. Calderon, J.D.
Associate Clinical Professor of Business Law
Jeanne Calderon is an Associate Clinical Professor of Business Law at NYU Stern School of Business. Professor Calderon teaches courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs including Real Estate Transactions; Law, Business and Society; Business and its Publics; Professional Responsibility and Leadership; and Business Law for Managers. She has taught Law for Accountants and Other Professionals in the undergraduate program. Professor Calderon also teaches in the graduate business journalism program of New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences. She joined the faculty of the Stern School in 1986. Professor Calderon is a faculty adviser in the undergraduate Senior Honors Program and also serves as Stern’s Pre Law adviser and as a faculty adviser to Stern’s Business and Law Association. Professor Calderon has published articles on such topics as mezzanine financing, land banking and land use.
Professor Calderon is an attorney who earned her J.D. Cum Laude from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1978. Prior to her joining Stern, Professor Calderon practiced corporate and securities law at major corporate law firms in New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. She also taught on an adjunct basis at several law schools in Los Angeles. Professor Calderon graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University as a political science major in 1975.
