Dean Search 2017

The Dean Search Committee is pleased to share the Dean Position Specification for the Dean search, and invites nominations from the Stern community.

Our extensive outreach to the many members of the Stern and NYU communities determined our search priorities and shaped the formulation of the position specification. We appreciate all of your input and the nominations that we have already received from members of the community.

This summer, we retained Heidrick & Struggles, a global search firm with particular expertise in business dean searches. We will now begin the important work of recruiting and evaluating candidates.  To ensure as robust a candidate pool as possible, and to respect candidates’ and potential candidates’ confidentiality, we will not provide specific updates of our process until there is public information to be shared.  We anticipate a fast-moving but thoughtful process, and will take as long as we need to identify the right individuals for the President and Provost to consider for this important role.
