NYU Stern's Langone Part-time MBA Program Celebrates Five Years in Westchester

NEW YORK--New York University Stern School of Business celebrates the five-year anniversary of delivering its top-ranked Langone Part-time MBA Program in Westchester. Responding to the need for flexibility among working professionals pursuing an MBA on a part-time basis, NYU Stern began offering classes at the SUNY Purchase campus in Westchester in September of 2006.

With headquarters of global companies such as GE, IBM, Pepsi and others based in the Westchester/Fairfield county regions, Stern increased the accessibility of its MBA for professionals who live and work in the surrounding areas with this program expansion. As a result, Stern MBA students gained the ability to choose not only a preferred scheduling option, but also a preferred location. The Langone Part-time MBA Program also offers evening and weekend-only options at the School’s Washington Square Campus in New York City.

“Five years ago, we increased the opportunity for qualified professionals who work outside of New York City to pursue a world-class MBA,” said Peter Henry, dean of NYU Stern. “In doing so, we diversified our bases of excellence while maintaining a commitment to quality in the students we attract, the faculty who teach and the education we deliver.”

Marking the occasion, alumni joined current and admitted students, faculty and administrators at Stern’s Westchester campus to celebrate the five-year anniversary on July 14.

“This program embraces the full NYU Stern MBA experience. I am part of an amazing community, which includes a diverse, warm and engaged student body, as well as exceptional professors who are dedicated to our success. The result is an incredible academic experience,” said Marcia Friedkin, a current student in the Langone Westchester program. “For me, the value is a world-class MBA experience with the convenience of a Westchester location. I can honestly say if Stern did not have a Westchester program, I would not be getting my MBA."

The Langone Westchester program offers two deadlines for admission: September 15 for a January start and May 15 for a September start.
