Inaugural Accounting and Economics Society Annual Conference

Hosted by the NYU Stern Accounting Department, the conference aims to provide a forum for the exchange and flourishing of theoretical and theory-guided research in accounting. While the conference focuses on theoretical work, it also invites papers that are guided by economic theory but use other methodologies, such as reduced-form empirical archival research, structural estimation, and experimental research. The conference encourages crossovers with other areas of the social sciences that can contribute to, and benefit from, insights in accounting research. The conference will feature paper presentations with a discussant assigned to each paper, as well as three keynote speakers.

Accounting Theory Summer School

Hosted by the NYU Stern Accounting Department, the objective of the summer school is to provide an introduction to accounting theory and structural estimation, in a manner that is self-contained for researchers from various backgrounds. Winners Announced in NYU Stern’s 2023-24 Entrepreneurs Challenge

After an intense five-month competition, NYU’s most promising innovators received startup funding and pro-bono services valued at more than $225,000 at NYU Stern’s annual Entrepreneurs Challenge, organized by the School’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship. The three winning teams were chosen after pitching their ideas and enduring Q&A by judges from peer accelerator programs, top NYC VC firms, and industry experts.
