About Laura Shanley

Laura Shanley is a tech industry executive with extensive experience building and scaling in emerging industries. She has been at Amazon for 12 years where she has held leadership roles across Amazon.com and Amazon Web Services (AWS). She saw the company through a major period of growth and scale, and was on the launch team for Amazon Prime Now, Amazon’s first ultrafast delivery business in 2015. Prior to Amazon, Laura had a career in education, first as a high school teacher in the Bronx, NY, and then as an administrator at New York University, where she was a founding team member of the Master of Science in Business Analytics Program (MSBA). Laura is on the board of the Kennedy Children's Center, an NYC-based early childhood education nonprofit serving children with developmental disabilities. She holds a BA in History, an MA in Humanities and Social Thought with a concentration in urban studies, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing, all from New York University.
