Global Strategy Practicum

Explore international business problems through a unique collaboration

The IDC Global Strategy Practicum provides students with the opportunity to extend their global reach by partnering with MBA students from the Arison School of Business, Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), in Herzliya, Israel. Students will work together on a joint international strategy project for a real global company to develop market entry strategies for North America and elsewhere.

In preparation for this advanced project engagement, the selected Stern students will fly to IDC’s Israel campus in January to undergo an intense 4 day workshop based on the methodologies of the global management consulting firms. This workshop will culminate with a kick-off meeting between the joint Stern-IDC team and the client. Stern students will then return to New York where they will meet weekly with a dedicated Stern management faculty advisor, and interact via skype and other channels with their Israeli counterparts. The project will conclude in May with a trip for the IDC students and the lead client to New York where students will finalize their analysis and present their final recommendations to their faculty advisors and their client.
