MD/MBA Applicants

The NYU Stern MD/MBA Application Supplement is currently undergoing annual updates and will be available in late Summer.

The NYU School of Medicine and the NYU Stern School of Business have a joint application process designed to simplify applying to the MD/MBA program. Prior to applying, please note the MD/MBA application deadline and review both the MD admissions process and the instructions provided in the NYU Stern MD/MBA Application Supplement.

Applicants who wish to apply directly to the dual MD/MBA program should follow the procedures outlined below:

• Submit the full MD application to the NYU School of Medicine per the instructions on the NYU School of Medicine Admissions website.
• Complete the NYU Stern MD/MBA Application Supplement by the MD/MBA application deadline.
• Send the completed MD/MBA Application Supplement to:

While there is only one MD/MBA application process, each school has a separate Admissions Committee and admissions process. Please note that admission to the MBA program is almost always contingent upon admission to--and enrollment in--the MD program.

MD/MBA applicants cannot apply to NYU Stern using the Stern online application or the Consortium application. Individuals who already hold one of the individual degrees are not eligible for admission to the dual degree program.

Admitted MD/MBA students not currently enrolled at the School of Medicine begin at the School of Medicine and enrollment at Stern is deferred for three years. Students already enrolled at the School of Medicine may apply to the dual degree program during their third year and must apply by the MD/MBA application deadline.
