The following Startup Services are available to all NYU students, alumni, faculty, staff and researchers. All services require an appointment.
First Contact (Initial Meeting)
This meeting with our Startup Advisors will give you a chance to tell us about your idea, share your vision and explain where you are in the startup process. Based on the information you provide, our team will begin working with you to develop a strategy for getting your concept or venture to the next level. To get started:

Step 2 - Complete the Starting Block: Building a Case for Your Idea and tell us about your vision, the product/service, the market opportunity, etc. (The more you're able to tell us about your idea or venture, the better we'll be able to help you. So, take your time completing this section.)

Step 4 - Schedule a First Contact meeting at https://skedge.me/berkleycenter

Sounding Boards (Ongoing Guidance)
Once you've had a First Contact meeting, ongoing support and guidance will be provided through Sounding Board meetings. Sounding Borads are an opportunity to have ongoing follow up meetings with Startup Advisors where you discuss your progress, get feedback and receive help brainstorming next steps. How often you meet will depend on how fast the progress you make developing your venture or concept.
Legal Help Desk
Get legal insight into common startup issues such as, intellectual property, corporate structure, contracts, partnership agreements, investor proposals, etc. Please note that while there is no fee to access our Legal Help Desk, this is not a pro bono legal service. In other words, our legal experts are here to provide their perspective only, not to do free legal work. The legal help desks are made by possible through a partnership with the law firms of Reitler Kailas & Rosenblatt LLC and Lowenstein Sandler PC. Book Now

Ask-a-CFO (SCORE Counseling Session)
Meet with a seasoned finance or accounting professional to get one-on-one advice on key areas such as financial projections and forecasting, cash flow management, and obtaining seed and venture capital. This service is offered in partnership with SCORE. Book Now
Entrepreneurs-in-Residence Program
Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs) are founders of or former senior executives from successful entrepreneurial ventures. (Click here for EIR bios and areas of expertise.) The EIRs provide ad-hoc consulting and coaching designed to help you progress your venture concepts to the next level. They supplement the ongoing guidance provided by our Sounding Boards Advisors. The EIR Program is offered in partnership with the NYU Innovation Venture Fund. Please note that meetings with EIRs are reserved for founders who are beyond the ideation and brainstorming stage.
