MBA Students Take 2017 "Doing Business in… Argentina" Course

In March, a group of MBA students traveled to Buenos Aires for NYU Stern’s “Doing Business in… Argentina” course. Highlights of the trip included a corporate visit to River Plate, a stop at the Tango Porteño Dinner Show, a guest lecture with executives from Crisil Irevna, as well as daily lectures on financial markets, private equity funds and consumer behavior in South America.

“Visiting a country with an academic component is completely different from visiting as a tourist,” said MBA student Michelle Liu. “I gained a deeper understanding of the country and its people.  The classroom lectures we had from the US Embassy and professors provided valuable insights into why the country is the way it is. We found ourselves using things we learned in the classroom to explain phenomena we observed in daily life.”
