Professor Jonathan Haidt challenged second-year MBA students to see their careers as a “hero’s journey” during a week-long professional responsibility course.
With an introduction from Dean Peter Henry, emphasizing the dangers of shortcuts, Jonathan Haidt, a leading moral psychologist and author of the New York Times bestseller The Righteous Mind, guided second-year MBA students through a week-long course on professional responsibility. Drawing on his own research in moral psychology, Professor Haidt exposed students to ethical truths and business realities; students heard about ethical dilemmas from guest speakers and participated in breakout sessions on topics including conflicts of interest, loyalty and whistle-blowing and social responsibility.
