Biography

David M. Perkal is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting, at New York University Stern School of Business.

Prior to founding Swanhill Capital LLC, a private equity firm focused on the health care industry, he assisted numerous middle market companies raise senior and subordinated debt for a variety of needs including recapitalizations, turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, LBOs and general corporate purposes. He began his career in leveraged finance as an investment banker in the high yield group at Fleet Securities, Inc. and subsequently spent several years at GE Capital Corporation and The CIT Group, Inc.

He holds a B.A. in Economics and Italian Studies from Brandeis University, an M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from NYU Stern.
