Career Conversations with Alumni: Tech

Hear from recent alumni about the path to their current role. They will share industry-specific insights as well as advice on how to leverage your time at Stern to explore your interests/passions while building a skill set that will help you achieve your short and longer term career goals. 

Tibby Iz is a Class of 2017 Alum. She is a collaborative and creative marketer and people manager with a decade of experience across B2B and B2C industries. Her specialty experience is in content marketing, social media, paid media and multimedia (including video and podcasts). Tibby is currently a Global Mobile Lead at Google.

TJ Herrle is a Class of 2018 Alum. While at Stern, TJ specialized in Strategy and Leadership & Change Management and was a member of the Management Consulting Association, and Stern Student Government. He also interned at Accenture Consulting. Currently, he is a Support Systems Consultant at Google. 

 
Matthew Cowsert is a Class of 2018 Alum. Prior to enrolling in the full-time MBA program at Stern, Matt graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in 2009 and commissioned into the United States Army as an Infantry Officer, with a follow-on branch detail as a Finance Officer. Upon redeployment, Matt finished his time in the Army as a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Army Pacific Command’s Army International Security Cooperation Program. While at Stern, Matt studied and specialized in Product Management and Business Analytics. Currently, he is a Senior Technical Product Manager within Amazon Web Services. He primarily focuses on building products to help customers better understand their AWS cost and usage.

Inside the Stern Classroom
with Professor Maher Said

Join Professor Maher Said as he teaches a mock class and takes you inside the Stern classroom. This class will provide a brief introduction to game theory and discuss how it can be used to think about auctions and the design of markets. 

Maher Said is an Associate Professor of Economics at New York University Stern School of Business. Professor Said teaches the core course “Firms and Markets” in Stern’s full-time MBA program. His research studies the optimal design of contracts and market mechanisms in the presence of information asymmetries, most recently focusing on the evaluation of forecasters, financial analysts, and other experts.
