NYU Stern & Law Student Sustainable Furniture Company Featured in Architectural Digest

sabai

NYU Stern and NYU Law students, Caitlin Ellen and Phantila Phataraprasit, came together to create Sabai Design–a furniture company focused on sustainable materials and ethical manufacturing. Recently featured by Architectural Digest, Sabai is recognized for its affordable sofas made from recycled water bottle fabrics, as well as its commitment to
domestic manufacturing.
On sustainability in the furniture industry, they say: “‘We always cared about sustainability in terms of how we eat and travel,’ says Phataraprasit. ‘But it was difficult when it came time to decorate our apartments.’ Their solution, which they are iterating to this day, is an ‘essential sofa’ and ‘essential sectional.’”
