On November 27, the NYU Stern Office of Alumni Relations will host the next installment of the "Author Lecture Series" featuring Professors Joel Steckel and Allen Adamson. The two will discuss research and findings from their new book entitled Shift Ahead: How the Best Companies Stay Relevant in a Fast-Changing World. President Emeritus John Sexton will moderate the conversation. 

On November 21, NYU Stern’s “In Conversation with Lord Mervyn King” Series welcomed Janet Yellen, chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

On November 17, ​NYU faculty, industry practitioners and NYU Stern students convened for the launch event of the Hamdi Ulukaya Initiative (HUG in Turkish), a program aimed at discovering and supporting young entrepreneurs and startups in Turkey. 

On November 16, The NYU Stern Office of Alumni Relations will host the next installment of the "Author Lecture Series" featuring Tim O’Reilly and Professor Arun Sundararajan. They will discuss researching and findings from O’Reilly’s new book entitled, WTF: What’s the Future and Why It’s Up To Us.

A graduate student team from a Stern communication course presented their research on public school funding to a closed-door session. 

NYU Stern’s Leadership Development team welcomed Susan Peters, senior vice president of human resources at GE, for an event entitled, “Tales in Leadership: Managing Change.”

On October 19, John E. Herzog (MBA '71), former member of the NYU Stern Board of Overseers, sat down with Professor Melissa Schilling for a discussion of his new book, A Billion to One: The Story of Herzog, Heine, Geduld, Inc.

On June 1, the NYU Stern School of Business will present a new book, “Regulating Wall Street: CHOICE Act vs. Dodd-Frank”, authored by more than a dozen faculty members from Stern and the NYU School of Law. 

On Tuesday, May 30, The United Nations and New York University Stern School of Business welcomed António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, for an event entitled "Climate Action: Mobilizing the World."

On April 28, the McKinsey Global Institute and NYU Stern will host the first Digital Future of Work Summit.

The NYU Stern Volatility Institute and NASDAQ Derivatives Research Project Conference convened academics and practitioners to discuss the latest research and ideas on the theme, “Derivatives and Volatility: The State of the Art.” 

On April 20, NYU Stern’s Leadership Development welcomed Joe Berardino, Managing Director, Corporate Transformation at Alvarez & Marsal, for an event entitled "Tales in Leadership: Managing Chaos.” The discussion centered around crisis management and the value of self-awareness in leadership. 

On April 19, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business and the Greater New York City Chapter of the International Society of Sustainability Professions (ISSP-NYC) welcomed Laurent Claquin, Head of Kering Americas, for an event entitled “Crafting Tomorrow’s Luxury.”

On Tuesday, April 18, NYU Stern’s Undergraduate College and Business & Society Program (BSP) in conjunction with the “Law, Business & Society” course, co-hosted the 2017 Ashok C. Sani Distinguished Scholar-In-Residence Lecture, delivered by NYU Trustee Larry Silverstein (ARTS '52), who serves as chairman of Silverstein Properties.

The Four School Conference brings together faculty, students and researchers from Stern, Columbia, Yale and University of Pennsylvania.

On Thursday, April 13, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) welcomed Robert G. Wilmers, CEO of M&T Bank, for a discussion entitled “Community-Minded Banking.”

On April 10, NYU Stern’s Business and Society Program, Center for Sustainable Business and NYU Department of Environmental Studies welcomed Jane Goodall, Ph.D., DBE, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, for an event entitled “Tomorrow & Beyond: An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall.”

On Friday, April 7, students from NYU Stern and the Columbia Business School will host the 2017 MBA Media and Entertainment Conference. The annual event brings established leaders and groundbreaking pioneers together to share insights on the state of media and entertainment.  

Joining the NYU community in creating opportunities to deepen understanding of others' experiences, NYU Stern will host its fifth annual Ally Week from April 6-13.

NYU Stern’s Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF) program will host an event entitled “The Prospects of Global Financial Security” featuring a discussion with Professor Robert Engle. 

On March 31, Stern Women in Business (SWIB) will host the 25th annual “Stern Women in Business Conference” focusing on discussion to show up, stand up and speak up for gender equality.
