Biography

Kishore Tandon joined New York University Stern School of Business in 1990 as an Adjunct Professor of Finance. He is also a Professor of Finance at CUNY Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business. Previously, he was a Visiting Professor at both the University of Pittsburgh and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Professor Tandon is an expert in the areas of emerging markets, international corporate finance and foreign exchange derivatives. He has published more than 30 academic papers in leading finance journals in the area of international finance. One of his papers won the "Best Paper Award on Global Depositary Receipts," and he is included in Finance Literature's "Most Prolific Publishers in the Last Fifty Years" (2005).

Professor Tandon has consulted extensively for international organizations such as, The World Bank (emerging markets) and the United Nations Development Program (financial sector development). He has led several United Nations projects on financial market reforms and privatization in the Republic of Georgia and Bangladesh. In addition, he has worked on two separate Financial Sector Reform projects with the Security Exchange Commission in India, a project operated by Price Waterhouse LLC and funded by USAID. He also consulted with the OTC Exchange of India for a project funded by The World Bank.

Professor Tandon is President of PRN Associates LLC, a firm that provides training and consulting services to Bloomberg LLC and since 2005, he has been consultant to the China Construction Bank, the third largest bank in China. In addition, he has organized customized training programs for the Korea Asset Management Company and the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation. He has worked as a legal expert in court cases in derivative markets, has provided executive training to numerous groups from Brazil, China, India, Russia and Korea, and lectures extensively to middle level executives at various investment banks in New York. Professor Tandon has also presented more than 75 papers at various conferences and association meetings in finance and has organized academic sessions at various Annual Finance Association Meetings.
