Biography

Paul DeNicola is a Principal at PwC’s Governance Insights Center, where he leads thought leadership initiatives and works to enhance relationships between corporate directors, executive leadership teams, and investors. With over twenty years of experience in corporate governance, Paul is recognized for his extensive knowledge of emerging governance trends and issues. His areas of expertise include board culture, board effectiveness assessments, and shareholder activism. He contributes to numerous PwC governance publications, including the highly respected Annual Corporate Directors Survey.

Paul is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at New York University's Stern School of Business. His teaching focuses on corporate governance, ethical leadership, and professional responsibility.

Paul has held positions on several governance-focused boards, including the Society for Corporate Governance and the National Association of Corporate Directors New Jersey Chapter. He has also served as a member of the Markets Advisory Council for the Council of Institutional Investors.

Directorship Magazine has twice honored Paul by naming him among the 100 most influential figures in U.S. corporate governance.

Paul earned both his BA and MA in interdisciplinary studies from The Gallatin School at New York University. He completed a PhD in philosophy and communications at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland.
