Interview Policies

First-Round Interviews
In order to give students adequate time to prepare for interviews and to ensure that all employers have equal access to students, OCD asks that no full-time or internship interviewing take place before the start of on-campus recruiting:

• October 9, 2012 for full-time and
• January 14, 2013 for internships.

Second-Round Interviews
Students are required to attend all first-round interviews. Companies may not schedule second-round interviews or any recruiting event until after 5:00 p.m. on the third day of the recruiting cycle:

• October 11, 2012 at 5 p.m., for full-time recruiting or
• January 16, 2013 at 5 p.m., for internship recruiting.

Recruiting events include any informational or social event held on or off-campus. To avoid any conflicts, please keep your Relationship Manager informed of your call-back schedule. Please remember that students’ schedules are extremely busy at this time of year; your ability to offer at least one alternate second round interview date/time is greatly appreciated. Students should never be expected to miss classes or previously scheduled interviews.

Changes and Cancellations
We request that you inform OCD of any changes you make to your schedule as soon as possible. Due to the large number of interview schedules we coordinate, our office is unable to cancel or change interview schedules with less than one week’s notice. If you must cancel or alter your schedule, it is your responsibility to inform our office and to personally contact each student on your interview schedule.

Grade Disclosure Policy
Students are not permitted to include GPAs on NYU Stern resumes published and released by the Office of Career Development. As Stern does not have an academic ranking system, which would offer context to the student's academic standing in the class, we discourage companies from requesting this information from students and using it as an evaluative measure during the recruiting process.

To uphold the integrity of the recruiting process, violators of any of the policies above will not be granted date preferences for the following recruiting season.
