Stern has partnered with other schools to create the following joint-school minors (click on the hyperlinks for information about requirements): Advanced Mathematical Methods Minor Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology Business Studies Minor (non-Stern students only) Public Policy and Management Social Entrepreneurship Courses in your minor will satisfy elective requirements. You may not declare classes that fulfill minor requirements pass/fail. Please see pass/fail policy for further details. |

The Business Program and the Business and Political Economy Program both require a number of liberal arts courses outside of Stern. In addition to your academic adviser, often it may be necessary to reach out to the department in which the course is housed to answer pertinent questions you may have regarding these courses; use the following guide to find further resources and contact information:

Approved non-Stern coursework includes classes taken at (all prerequisites and course requirements must be met): The College of Arts and Science The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development The Tisch School of the Arts The Gallatin School of Individualized Study Undergraduate Wagner School of Public Service Silver School of Social Work Polytechnic Institute (Students interested in taking NYU-Poly courses should contact a Stern Academic Adviser to discuss this process) Courses taken through the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) will not satisfy any degree requirements (including electives) nor will the grade be calculated as part of your cumulative GPA. Therefore, you are not encouraged to take courses at SCPS. If you choose to pursue a major through the College of Arts and Sciences, please note that most of your elective credits will be used to fulfill those major requirements. You are encouraged to meet with an academic adviser (link to advising) in addition to someone in the department in which you are majoring to discuss how the required coursework will impact your curricular plan. |
