Stern's senior leaders, administrators and current students are excited to welcome you to the Stern community. Dean Raghu Sundaram will share welcome remarks followed by a student experience panel discussion where current students in the Military Veterans Club (MVC) will speak about their transition from the military to Stern, and share who they are, not just what they do. This session will be recorded.

Julia Malouin

Julia received her MBA from NYU Stern in 2014 and her BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006. Prior to business school, she spent 6 years as an officer in the United States Army. While in the Army, Julia held leadership roles in both Military Intelligence and Civil Affairs. From 2009 to 2010, she deployed to Afghanistan as a Civil Affairs Team Leader in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She currently leads Sustainability Initiatives across the Water+ portfolio.

Sam Kies headshot

Sam Kies

Sam joined Mastercard from NYU Stern in 2016 as part of the MBA Management Associate Program. After completing three six-month rotations throughout the company, including a stint in Singapore, Sam joined the account management team at Mastercard. Prior to attending NYU, Sam received his undergrad from Wake Forest and served as an infantry officer in the Army, with 10th Mountain Division and The Airborne & Ranger Training Brigade.

Bryan Coughlin

Bryan Coughlin is a 2017 NYU Stern Graduate and recipient of both the NYU Presidential Service Award and NYU Stern Service Award. While at Stern, Bryan was the Co-President of the Military Veterans Club. Prior to Stern, he was a Staff Platoon Commander in the United States Marine Corps. Currently, Bryan is a Real Estate Planner at Facebook.

Kyle Jones

Kyle is currently a 3rd year Investment Banking Associate in the Natural Resources coverage group at Barclays. He graduated from NYU Stern in 2018. Prior to NYU Stern, Kyle served in the Navy for over 8 years as a Naval Flight Officer. Kyle Graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2008 with a B.S. in Economics.
Inside the Stern Class: Business Law
with Professor Richard Hendler

Join Professor Richard Hendler as he teaches a mock class and takes you inside the Stern classroom. Professor Hendler is a Clinical Professor of Law in Business. With over thirty years of experience in the practice of law, he brings to the classroom practical firsthand knowledge and an intimate understanding of the intricacies of the legal system in relation to society and the world of business.

Professor Richard Hendler

Richard Hendler first joined NYU Stern School of Business as an adjunct professor in September 1989. In 1993, he became a full-time professor and now holds the position as Clinical Professor of Law in Business. Currently, he teaches Business Law as well as his self-developed courses, Entertainment Law, Entrepreneurship & Law in Practice, and Law through the Lens of Film.
