What is your most treasured NYC spot?

I have treasured my lunch spots near Stern, which range from a quiet day sitting in Washington Square Park people-watching, to an animated lunch with classmates at one of the numerous local restaurants.

How did you find a sense of community within Stern?

As part of the inaugural class of the Andre Koo Tech MBA, I formed incredibly deep connections with my classmates in this program. We explored NYC together, traveled as a group, and spent many nights and weekends socializing. Over spring break, I attended the Jewish Students Association trip to Israel where I made friends with over 30 Sternies I hadn't met prior.

How has Stern's Office of Career Development prepared you for success?

I spent most of my career prior to Stern working in healthcare. Experiential learning and opportunities to visit companies around New York city and beyond provided me with an incredibly broad baseline on how firms - from banks to social enterprise startups - work. I am already seeing value in this knowledge since I'm pursuing work on my startup which provides cybersecurity services to a large range of clients across industries.

What was your favorite class at Stern?

My favorite class at Stern was "Predicting the Future of Technology" with Professor Amy Webb. We learned how to differentiate what's trendy in tech versus what's actually a trend to care about, and how to systematically approach the future for any type of company or organization.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

You don't necessarily need to know your future plans specific long-term goals coming into Stern. You have the opportunity for exposure to such a broad range of people, companies, and experiences that you will find new passions along the way.

Why did you choose NYU Stern?

The format of the Andre Koo Tech MBA clearly made Stern the right school for me. It provides a unique blend of technical focus surrounded by a world-class business program which I couldn't find anywhere else.
