Welcome to The Center for Japan-U.S. Business and Economic Studies
The Center for Japan-U.S. Business and Economic Studies, established in 1984, is now under new leadership. Welcome to the revamped web site, and come back often to check for new developments.
The Center holds conferences, policy talks, and panel discussions, as well as providing research support to faculty and students. Subjects include microeconomic and macroeconomic aspects of the Japanese economy, U.S. economic relations with Japan, and broader East Asian economic developments. Further background on the Center, plus a listing of past and future events is available on the various pages of this site.
Looking for information about the Japanese economy? As part of our effort to provide research support to faculty, students, and the general public, the Center now offers information on where to obtain data on economic Japan. Please head to "Research Support," where you will find links to websites providing economic information regarding Japan.
Have a moment to relax between classes? Visit the lobby outside conference 7-191, where we have chairs and a number of English and Japanese language periodicals on Japan, as well as East Asia.
