MBA Students Take 2017 "Doing Business in… South Africa" Course

In May, a group of MBA students traveled to Cape Town for NYU Stern’s “Doing Business in… South Africa” course. Highlights of the trip included corporate visits to Digital Innovation and SPAR South Africa, a stop at the Oranjezicht City Farm, expeditions to the townships of Khayelitsha and Langa, as well as daily lectures on major issues facing government and business in the region.

“DBi South Africa’s focus on impact investing provided a unique perspective on emerging and innovative financing methods,” said MBA student Jeremy Ensweiler. “In addition, our conversations about approaching different cultures with an open mind and in a non-judgmental way will be useful in my career going forward.”
