On Friday, March 6, NYU Stern's Latin American Business Association (LABA) hosted the 6th Annual LABA Conference, themed, “Reinventing Latin America: The Road to Sustained Prosperity.” The conference created a forum for the discussion of current topics on Latin America’s economy, business and politics, particularly how Latin America can position itself for a more sustainable and prosperous future. The event featured keynote speakers Alejandro Werner, director of the western hemisphere department, International Monetary Fund; Walter Bayly, CEO, Banco de Crédito del Peru, and COO, Credicorp; Alexandre Hohagen, vice president for Facebook in Latin America; and Hernán Mendez, CEO of Procafecol S.A (Juan Valdez Café).
