The NYU Stern Salomon Center for the Study of Financial Institutions and the Bank Policy Institute will host the Conference on Household Finance on Friday, April 26.

On April 23, NYU Stern's Center for Sustainable Business hosted a panel entitled, "ESG and Impact Investing Across Asset Classes."

On Tuesday, April 16, NYU Stern’s Business and Society Program (BSP) hosted the 2019 Ashok C. Sani Distinguished Scholar-In-Residence Lecture, delivered by filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (TSOA '92). A packed audience of NYU students, alumni and guests from the family of alumnus Ashok C. Sani (BS ’74) gathered at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts for the talk entitled, “The Struggle to Find Your Voice.”

On Monday, April 15, NYU Stern's Fubon Center for Technology, Business and Innovation will host a talk on “Machine Learning, Ethics, and Fairness” by Dr. Solon Barocas.  A fireside chat featuring Dr. Barocas in conversation with NYU Stern Professor Foster Provost, the Director of the Fubon Data Analytics and AI Initiative, will follow.

On April 12, 2019, NYU Stern's Executive MBA Program and NYU Washington DC hosted a Stern EMBA Speaker Series event at NYU’s downtown DC location featuring EMBA alumnus Charlie Reinhard (MBA ‘94), Head - NAM Investment Strategy at Citi Private Bank.

The Four School Conference brings together faculty, students and researchers from Stern, Columbia, Yale and University of Pennsylvania.

On Monday, April 8, the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights will host an event exploring why and how companies should support civic freedoms and human rights defenders around the world, drawing upon recently launched guidance, “Shared Space Under Pressure: Business Support for Civic Freedoms and Human Rights Defenders”, commissioned by the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre and International Service for Human Rights.

On Wednesday, April 3, the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights will host a discussion entitled, "Online Advertising, Human Rights and the Rule of Law." The conversation will consider the human rights implications of current online advertising practices, and how advertisers, internet platforms and advertising companies can be expected to address these risks.

On Tuesday, April 2, NYU Stern's Department of Accounting, Stern Accounting Society, Business Analytics Club and Beta Alpha Psi will welcome Chuck Saia, risk and financial advisory CEO of Deloitte, for a discussion on how to leverage innovation and technology to help clients embrace complexity and accelerate performance.

On Monday, April 1 NYU Stern's Fubon Center for Technology, Business and Innovation will host a talk on “Demystifying AI and Machine Learning” by Dr. Pedro Domingos, author of The Master Algorithm: How the Quest for the Ultimate Learning Machine Will Remake Our World. 

On March 27, Paul Daugherty, chief technology & innovation officer, Accenture, will discuss his new book, Human + Machine: Reimagining Work in the Age of AI, with Professor Arun Sundararajan.

Taught by industry and academic leaders David Yermack and Kathleen DeRose, this course equips participants with an understanding of key FinTech concepts, strategies and implications.

Ethical Systems, housed in NYU Stern's Business and Society Program, hosted its second biennial Ethics by Design conference, “Managing Organizations in an Era of Anxiety, Polarization & Disruption,” bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss present-day challenges for running ethical organizations.

NYU Stern's Business and Society Program hosted Blake Gopnik, art critic and author of a forthcoming Andy Warhol biography, and Amy Whitaker, assistant professor in arts administration at NYU Steinhardt, for the first event in a new series bringing together business and the arts at NYU Stern. The dialogue, entitled,“Stern Meets Warhol,” explored the life and work of Andy Warhol as both an artist and a businessperson.

This course teaches participants to harness the full potential of large quantities of data to make more informed decisions at all levels of their organizations.

On Wednesday, March 13, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business hosted its Second Annual Practice Forum, entitled “How to Assess the ROI on Sustainability for Corporate Practitioners and Investors.”

On March 8, 2019 the social enterprise student organizations of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, School of Law, and Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service will host the 9th Annual NYU Social Innovation Symposium (SIS).

On Wednesday, March 6, NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business hosted a fireside chat with Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin. Professor Kim Schoenholtz, the Center’s director, led the conversation, which was introduced by Dean Raghu Sundaram. 

On March 1, the Latin America Business Associations of Stern and Columbia will join forces with the Young Professionals of the Americas (YPA) to host the Latin American Business Conference.

A group of experts comprised of faculty from business and law schools, as well as other leaders in business, law and the nonprofit sectors, convened at NYU Stern for a two-day roundtable discussion on “Corporate Political Accountability: Corporate Political Spending and Risk in the Age of Trump.”

On February 27, Jesse Eisinger, senior reporter and editor of Propublica, came to NYU Stern for a discussion about his new book, The Chickenshit Club: Why the Justice Department Fails to Prosecute Executives, with Professor Paul Zarowin.

On February 25, the NYU Center for Sustainable Business will host a panel entitled, "Engaging with the Blue Economy."
