NYU Stern's Center for Real Estate Finance Research hosted the Fifth Annual Spring Symposium, "Commercial Real Estate Development in NYC: A Golden Age or a Cooling Market?" The symposium featured leading real estate experts, four different panels and explored recent development activity in several major sectors.

On April 4 and 5, the NYU Stern Urbanization Project and UN-Habitat released the preliminary results of Monitoring Global Urban Expansion, a research program exploring the characteristics of the world’s 4,230 cities, at the Habitat III Thematic Meeting on Public Space in Barcelona, Spain.

Building a World Changing Startup: A talk with Michael Baum, CEO of Founder.org

On November 20, 2015, at NYU Shanghai’s campus in Pudong, the Volatility Institute at NYU Shanghai (VINS) held its First Annual Conference. The conference was prepared in cooperation with the Economics School at Fudan University as well as Pudong Institute of Finance, and was centered on the theme of “Liberalizations in Emerging Markets.”

NYU Stern's Center for Real Estate Finance Research partnered with Bloomberg L.P. this fall to host the Fourth Annual Fall Symposium, "The Nexus between Real Estate and Infrastructure Investing." The symposium featured leading institutional investors, compared investments in real estate and infrastructure assets, and investigated how green building and new energy are changing the landscape.

NYU Stern's Center for Global Economy and Business hosted Timothy F. Geithner, 75th secretary of the US Department of the Treasury and president of Warburg Pincus, for a talk and Q&A session on October 5.
