On February 23, The Aspen Institute, in partnership with the NYU Stern Business & Society Program, will host a conversation with two of America's leading experts in psychology -- Professor Paul Zak and Professor Jonathan Haidt. 

NYU Stern's W. R. Berkley Innovation Lab will welcome NYU alumni, angel investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and industry innovators to the 15th Annual New Venture Showcase.

On Friday, February 24, the Latin American Business Associations (LABA) of NYU Stern and Columbia Business School – along with the Young Professionals of the Americas (YPA), an initiative of the Americas Society/Council of the Americas – will host their second annual joint conference.

On February 16, Professor Kim Schoenholtz moderated a panel discussion entitled, “China: Risks in the Financial System.” Opening the conversation, Professor Jennifer Carpenter presented key points from her recent research, co-authored with Professor Robert Whitelaw, outlining the rapid growth of corporate debt in China and the central role banks play in China’s financial system, as well as mechanisms to improve the allocation of risks (such as the stock market). 

Over the last month, NYU Stern Professor Tensie Whelan made a pair of speaking stops to discuss sustainability in business. 

On February 10, 2017, the social enterprise student organizations of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, School of Law, and Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service will host the Seventh Annual NYU Social Innovation Symposium.

The NASDAQ OMX Derivatives Research Project, part of the Salomon Center for the Study of Financial Institutions, hosted its annual Research Day, an opportunity to showcase some of the most interesting research projects in progress among the School’s active finance research faculty.

On February 1, Professor Kim Schoenholtz moderated a discussion among three leading economists.

Distinguished academics from around the world will convene to share their research in the rapidly evolving field of network economics at the 2016 NET Institute Conference, held in partnership with NYU Stern’s Center for Global Economy and Business.

On December 8, NYU Stern hosted the second installment of the "In Conversation with Mervyn King" series featuring Michael Lewis, best-selling author of Liar's Poker, Moneyball, The Blind Side and Flash Boys, on his new book The Undoing Project: A Friendship that Changed Our Minds. 

NYU Stern's Graduate Finance Association (GFA), Private Equity Club and Investment Management and Research (SIMR) club will co-host a discussion with Professor Aswath Damodaran, Ramesh Ratan, President and CEO of Bell and Howell, and Matthew Levitties, Managing Director of Versa Capital. 

On Tuesday, December 6, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business welcomed Jerome L. Dodson, founder and president of Parnassus Investments for a talk entitled, “Market-Beating Performance.”

On December 1, NYU Stern welcomed David Nenke, director of marketing and product for Cloud Drive and Amazon.com, for a special discussion with MBA students. Nenke shared his insights and information on the advanced technology of voice recognition software and the innovation behind Amazon Echo. 

On December 1, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business hosted a panel discussion, entitled “Sustainability Leadership: How Companies Are Realizing the Value of Sustainability in Their Business Strategies”. 

On Friday, November 11, the Graduate Marketing Association will host its 2016 conference, themed "The Next Generation of Consumers," highlighting how recent cultural and consumer trends have changed marketing practices across industries.

NYU Stern's Management Communication Program and the Center for Communication will co-host a conversation on "The New Rules of Audio."

NYU Stern’s Salomon Center and The Clearing House welcomed Carmen M. Reinhart, Minos A. Zombanakis Professor of International Financial System of Harvard Kennedy School for the Gallatin Lecture Series on Banking. In her talk, Reinhart shared some of the key indicators that a financial crisis may be coming, including a surge in public and/or private debt.

Faculty, alumni and practitioners discussed how technology is reshaping the finance industry at NYU Stern’s First Annual FinTech Conference on November 9.  

The Ross Institute of Accounting Research hosted a Roundtable on Recent Trends in Non-GAAP Reporting on November 7.
