The Four School Conference brings together faculty, students and researchers from Stern, Columbia, Yale and University of Pennsylvania.

On Thursday, April 13, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business (CSB) welcomed Robert G. Wilmers, CEO of M&T Bank, for a discussion entitled “Community-Minded Banking.”

On April 10, NYU Stern’s Business and Society Program, Center for Sustainable Business and NYU Department of Environmental Studies welcomed Jane Goodall, Ph.D., DBE, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, for an event entitled “Tomorrow & Beyond: An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall.”

On Friday, April 7, students from NYU Stern and the Columbia Business School will host the 2017 MBA Media and Entertainment Conference. The annual event brings established leaders and groundbreaking pioneers together to share insights on the state of media and entertainment.  

Joining the NYU community in creating opportunities to deepen understanding of others' experiences, NYU Stern will host its fifth annual Ally Week from April 6-13.

NYU Stern’s Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF) program will host an event entitled “The Prospects of Global Financial Security” featuring a discussion with Professor Robert Engle. 

On March 31, Stern Women in Business (SWIB) will host the 25th annual “Stern Women in Business Conference” focusing on discussion to show up, stand up and speak up for gender equality.

NYU Stern Leadership Development hosted a two-part workshop titled “Intro to Mindful Leadership” in March and April, offered as part of the School’s Mindfulness in Business Initiative. The workshop was led by Janice Marturano, founder and executive director of the Institute for Mindful Leadership.

It was standing room only at the NYU Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life on February 7, as Chandrika Tandon took the stage to introduce Satya Nadella to an excited audience of students from her namesake School of Engineering and the Stern School of Business.

On Thursday, February 2, NYU Stern’s Master of Science in Risk Management program hosted a roundtable entitled “New U.S. Administration:Risky Spotlight on Economy, Trade and China.” Featured speakers included Michael Waugh, NYU Stern Associate Professor of Economics, and David Denoon, Professor of Politics and Economics and Director of the NYU Center on U.S.-China Relations.

On December 8, NYU Stern hosted the second installment of the "In Conversation with Mervyn King" series featuring Michael Lewis, best-selling author of Liar's Poker, Moneyball, The Blind Side and Flash Boys, on his new book The Undoing Project: A Friendship that Changed Our Minds. 

On Tuesday, December 6, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business welcomed Jerome L. Dodson, founder and president of Parnassus Investments for a talk entitled, “Market-Beating Performance.”

On December 1, NYU Stern welcomed David Nenke, director of marketing and product for Cloud Drive and Amazon.com, for a special discussion with MBA students. Nenke shared his insights and information on the advanced technology of voice recognition software and the innovation behind Amazon Echo. 

On December 1, NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business hosted a panel discussion, entitled “Sustainability Leadership: How Companies Are Realizing the Value of Sustainability in Their Business Strategies”.

NYU Stern hosted the first installment of the "In Conversation with Mervyn King" series featuring Rachel Maddow, host of the Emmy Award-winning "The Rachel Maddow Show" on MSNBC. Lord King, former Governor of the Bank of England, Baron King of Lothbury, Alan Greenspan Professor of Economics and Professor of Economics and Law at NYU, moderated the one-on-one interview, followed by an open Q&A session.

The L2/NYU Stern Digital Leadership Academy, led by HBS, Tuck, Kellogg, McGill and NYU faculty and L2 researchers, is a two-day conference rooted in business fundamentals coupled with tactical sessions on digital topics.
