The resilience and agility already demonstrated by this year’s graduates when they switched gears almost overnight to continue to advance their goals are the same traits they will need to succeed as leaders going forward. In his address to the NYU Stern Graduate Class of 2021, Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., will share how he has approached his career as a “climbing wall” rather than a ladder, taking advantage of opportunities for lifelong learning even when it meant moving sideways or slightly down rather than up.
