On May 9, The Endless Frontier Labs (EFL), NYU Stern’s hub for massively scalable tech and life science startups from around the world, celebrated its 2023-2024 cohort of graduating startups during its annual Frontiers showcase event.

After an intense five-month competition, NYU’s most promising innovators received startup funding and pro-bono services valued at more than $225,000 at NYU Stern’s annual Entrepreneurs Challenge, organized by the School’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship. The three winning teams were chosen after pitching their ideas and enduring Q&A by judges from peer accelerator programs, top NYC VC firms, and industry experts.

On Friday, April 26, NYU Stern's Volatility & Risk Institute presented its Fifth Annual Conference, titled, “Insurance and Rising Climate-Related Risks.” Professor Emeritus Robert Engle and Clinical Professor Richard Berner, co-directors of the Institute, delivered opening remarks.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, NYU Stern Professor Scott Galloway spoke to an audience full of Stern students and alumni about his new book, The Algebra of Wealth: A Simple Formula for Financial Security. NYU Stern Chief Marketing Officer Beth Murray introduced Galloway.

You are all likely aware of the events on Gould Plaza yesterday and have received President Linda Mills' letter (below) describing NYU's response to the event. The gathering created severe disruption to activities at Stern and caused some community members to feel unsafe; this was, in the end, the only way to find resolution.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, the NYU Stern Volatility and Risk Institute and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) co-hosted an event with a presentation and panel discussion on the new IMF April 2024 Global Financial Stability Report, focused on a chapter titled, “The Rise and Risks of Private Credit.”

NYU Stern’s EMBA DC program is designed for executives in the surrounding area with a unique format that meets once-per-month to maximize time at work and home and minimize travel. This added flexibility has allowed students to earn a top-ranked MBA degree with other executives in D.C. while also forging connections with their EMBA NY counterparts during cohort visits to NYC.
