On January 15, 2022, a beloved member of the NYU Stern community, Michelle Alyssa Go (MBA ’10) was the victim of a senseless act of violence.
Michelle was a vibrant and committed classmate and student leader, and a dear friend to many. Among her numerous contributions as a student, she was an officer in Stern Women in Business, co-chaired the 2010 SWIB Conference, and served as a block leader for her class. After Stern, Michelle went on to a successful career in investment banking and management consulting, first interning at Citi and then working at Barclays Capital before becoming a senior manager in M&A Strategy and Operations at Deloitte Consulting. In her spare time, she volunteered for over a decade with the New York Junior League and remained connected to Stern as an active alumna.
In remembrance of Michelle and her leadership, NYU Stern, in partnership with the Go family and the Deloitte Foundation, is establishing the Michelle Alyssa Go/Deloitte Foundation Women’s Leadership Scholarship Fund. This gift will honor Michelle’s legacy as a dynamic student leader, an engaged and impactful alumna, and a leading ambassador for Stern.
Each year, Stern will use the Fund to make awards in the form of tuition assistance to women in the Full-time MBA program who have a demonstrated record of leadership and community service. This gift will pay great tribute to Michelle’s impact across the student and alumni communities and will give ambitious young women the chance to become the leaders of tomorrow.
We are grateful for your generosity and support in memory of Michelle.
