MBA Students Take "Doing Business in… Poland" Course

In May, a group of MBA students traveled to Warsaw for the Spring 2014 "Doing Business in... Poland" course. Highlights of the trip included corporate visits to KGMH and Danone Poland as well as workshops on entrepreneurship and start-ups in Central and Eastern Europe.

“DBi Poland was a unique opportunity to experience the rich history of Eastern Europe and the amazing economic growth in Poland,” explained MBA student Ju Majid. “Our distinguished lecturers included Leszek Balcerowicz, former deputy prime minister of Poland and former chairman of the National Bank of Poland, who successfully led radical policy changes that marked record growth in the country over the past two and half decades. How often do you get to listen to stories and history told by the man whose policies transformed the country? Adding a cultural element to our DBi, students organized a food tour and it was a huge hit!”
