Excerpt from Poets & Quants-- "The class that has been the most valuable in building this startup for me would be “Getting to Launch: The Lean Startup“ with Professor Cynthia Franklin. This class took me through the ways in which to launch a startup and how to continuously be iterating to create a product that could quickly find product market fit. This class highlighted the need to move fast and put your product out instead of focusing on perfection over the timing. That lesson was invaluable for me in my startup journey."

Excerpt from Executive Courses-- "NYU Stern School of Business puts on the 14-week course called Corporate Sustainability. Participants learn how to make business a force for positive change through ESG investing, sustainable supply chain management, and employee and consumer engagement. The program is delivered online and upon completion successful participants will receive an NYU Stern certificate."

This Fall, NYU Stern welcomed the first Undergraduate College (UC) BS in Business program students who are participating in the program’s newly introduced First Year London option. Through this option, students spend their first year at NYU London before transitioning to NYU’s New York City campus to complete the remainder of their four-year degree program.

Excerpt from Executive Courses-- "NYU Stern, in New York City, offers the Inclusive Leadership: Addressing Unconscious Bias to Build Stronger, Diverse Teams program. Participants develop an inclusive mindset and focus on working in diverse teams, and how to mitigate bias through self-reflective exercises and group work."

Excerpt from The Times--  "We asked freshmen at the New York University Leonard N Stern of School of Business, who are spending this academic year at NYU London, to reflect on their experiences. After all, many are likely to become business leaders themselves in the future, with budgets to allocate to training and developing their employees."

Excerpt from Clear Admit-- "When it came time to take the GMAT, 64 percent opted to do so. The Stern MBA class averaged a score of 729, and 80 percent of students scored between 700 and 760 on the GMAT. For the 18 percent who opted to take the GRE, they averaged 162 in both the Quant and Verbal sections. NYU Stern accepts an array of standardized tests; five percent of applicants submitted MCAT/LSAT/DAT, six percent took the Executive Assessment, and seven percent received test waivers."

Excerpt from Fortune-- "NYU Stern is known for churning out highly employable candidates; in 2021, nearly 96% of its graduates received a job offer within three months of graduation, according to the school’s employment report. The median base salary for NYU Stern grads was $155,000, with an average signing bonus of $35,000."
 
"Despite another year of uncertainty, the school’s most-recent full-time MBA class saw historically high compensation and employment outcomes, Beth Briggs, NYU’s associate dean of career services, wrote in the school’s 2021 employment report. 'These outstanding results are built on the strong partnerships we have with our employers and alumni.'”

Through a combination of lecture, discussion and group exercises, participants will learn about financially material Environmental Social Governance (ESG) indicators and data providers, and learn how to translate corporate performance on sustainability into financial performance.

Excerpt from Poets & Quants-- "Not that Stern had a huge hole to climb out of — last year’s jobs report, while reflecting the reality of a market in the throes of a global pandemic, included plenty of evidence that MBAs from NYU find the jobs they want, where they want, for the salaries they want. This year continues the trend, with Stern’s Class of 2021 setting new school records in compensation, overall job acceptance rate, and international job acceptance rate — among other (mostly) positively trending numbers."

This essay gives candidates a creative opportunity to demonstrate how they align with our values and respond to change, a skill which is more important than ever for their future careers."

Excerpt from U.S. News -- "NYU's part-time MBA students may choose to participate in an accelerated two-year program that requires classes on weeknights, or they can pursue their MBA with a flexible timetable and take classes on either weeknights or Saturdays."

A sampling of media highlights for the week of October 12, 2021

Participants will develop an inclusive leadership mindset, with a focus on working with others across differences of multiple types, including gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability and age. The course examines how to surmount the negative impact that implicit bias can have on performance, team dynamics and efforts to create inclusive environments. Through self-reflective exercises, interactive sessions and group work, the course will move from building awareness of practices that foster diversity and inclusion, to helping participants create an inclusive leadership plan that results in stronger teams and organizations.

Excerpt from Poets & Quants-- "By the numbers, Stern enjoyed one of its best years ever during the 2020-2021 cycle. Notably, the school received 3,958 applications for a spot in the Class of 2023. That’s up 306 applications from the previous years. However, that’s not the best number. Stern’s acceptance rate dropped from 29% to 19%, making it one of the most selective MBA programs in the United States."

Excerpt from Executive Courses-- "Stern integrates real-world experience into the course too. 'We have the students work on cases in small groups and then work together, also in small groups, to create an ESG investment product using one of a variety of sustainable investing strategies we share with them,' says Whelan."
