Excerpt from FindMBA -- “At NYU Stern, career preparation begins even before students arrive on campus, according to Brian Ruggiero, associate dean of careers. ‘Self awareness is the most important first step,’ he says. ‘We help students understand how their past experiences, strengths, and interests can translate to consulting, but also make sure they're making an informed choice about pursuing consulting in the first place.’”

“Loyd similarly advises applicants to consider where they hope to work after graduation, noting that proximity to consulting offices can make it easier to build professional relationships during recruitment. Choosing a program in that location is ‘a bit of a cheat code,’ she says.”
