About Brett Baptist
Brett Baptist is a business strategy and operations leader whose career spans management consulting, hands-on operational leadership, teaching, and policy. He has taught the Stern Consulting Corps class at NYU Stern’s School of Business since 2020.
As a Partner in Boston Consulting Group’s New York office, Brett advises private equity investors and corporate executives on growth strategy, M&A, and transformation. Over the past decade, he has directed more than 130 client engagements, helping companies unlock value through commercial due diligence, consumer insights, and large-scale transformation programs. His sector experience includes multi-site retail and services, pet, fitness, restaurants, apparel, and franchising.
Before joining BCG, Brett served as Senior Director of Omnichannel at Independent Pet Partners where he held P&L responsibility for 170 stores and led major restructuring initiatives during COVID-19. Earlier in his career, he worked at The Parthenon Group, L.E.K. Consulting, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Brett helped develop the MBA-level course on consulting and client leadership. He is also an adjunct fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where he advises the economics program.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Letters from the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated with High Honors and Phi Beta Kappa.
