About Bryan Hong

Bryan Hong joined New York University Stern School of Business as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management in September 2017.

Professor Hong's research investigates how a firm's strategy, the design of its organization, and the incentives of its managers interact to influence its socially responsible behavior and other performance outcomes. His most recent work examines how executive compensation contracts can help to solve the problem of short-termism in managerial decision-making. In other work, Professor Hong is studying how firms can deal with strategic uncertainty about the future, such as disruption, to gain an advantage over their competition.

He has previously worked in investment banking, corporate strategic planning and strategy consulting.

Professor Hong received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
