Faculty Directory | Hope Byrne

Hope Byrne has been a guest lecturer at New York University's Stern School of Business every semester since 2010, teaching the REDE class to MBA candidates with real estate specialties.

Born and raised in the Chicago, Hope earned a Business Management degree. After moving to Boulder CO in 2000, she and her husband Jason Byrne co-founded HomeTrust in 2001. 

Since then, HomeTrust has fixed and flipped around 500 properties and bought or sold, as principals rather than agents, roughly $250 million of houses. In 2007 the company spun off a short sale business, which it successfully sold in 2009. Today HomeTrust specializes in wholesaling across Colorado, continues to run fix-and-flip projects, and owns about 60 rental houses in metro Denver generating a $1 million annual rent roll. Hope runs the wholesaling side of HomeTrust's business, working  with the company's Acquisition Managers and investor buyers to get deals done. She has 3 adult kids living in Manhattan. She is an enthusiastic but mediocre skier.
