Lou Cohen is Director, Digital Marketing & Demand Generation COE Leader, Americas (Chief Digital Officer) at EY where he leads a high-performing team responsible for EY.com, Digital Strategy, Paid Media, Marketing Technology, AI in Marketing, Internal Communications enablement, Marketing Analytics, & more for the U.S. and the Americas. With a career spanning leadership roles at Citi, Microsoft, and Wolters Kluwer—as well as early-stage e-commerce ventures—Lou brings deep expertise in customer-driven digital strategy and innovative go-to-market execution. His work has been recognized by leading industry organizations including the Gramercy Institute, the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), the American Marketing Association (AMA), and Marketing EDGE.
An Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business, Lou teaches undergraduate & graduate courses in Digital Marketing and Social Media Strategy. He also lectures at Baruch College and Yeshiva University, sharing real-world insights from nearly three decades of experience across B2B and B2C marketing. Lou holds a B.S. in Industrial Management & Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Baruch College.
At NYU Stern, Professor Cohen is known for blending academic frameworks with real-world application, drawing on his leadership in digital marketing to prepare students for careers in today’s data-driven, omnichannel landscape. His courses emphasize hands-on learning, strategic thinking, and the evolving role of technology & AI in marketing. Through case studies, live simulations, and industry guest speakers, he cultivates a classroom environment that bridges theory and practice—equipping students to lead with impact in a rapidly changing digital economy.
