Michael A. Ciulla, CPA, CFE, joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting in 2026. Professor Ciulla is currently the Senior Auditor of Investigations and Special Projects for NYU's Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management function and is involved with all matters relating to fraud risk management.

Prior to joining NYU in 2023, Professor Ciulla worked as an external auditor at the public accounting firm Ernst & Young, LLP, and as a consultant for the professional services firm StoneTurn Group, LLP, where he focused on compliance monitoring, expert witness testimony, and forensic accounting matters. Professor Ciulla is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
