Biography

William Ryan joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Marketing in September 2025.

Ryan researches topics in consumer behavior and judgment and decision-making using methods including experiments and natural language processing. His research has been published in leading journals such as Psychological Science.

Previously, he worked as a consultant at The Greatest Good, a behavioral science and econometrics consulting firm.

He received his AB in Philosophy from Harvard University, and his MS and PhD in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley.
