Stern Ventures Fellowship

Disrupt your summer internship by building a venture

Through the Stern Ventures Fellowship (SVF), NYU Stern offers an opportunity for students to customize their crucial internship period while benefiting from financial support, mentorship, workshops and access to NYC and Silicon Valley tech companies. Fellows have the opportunity to build a venture of their own while still in the MBA program, allowing them to maximize on their time at Stern. Incoming full-time MBA students will apply in Fall 2016 for consideration to become the first NYU Stern Venture Fellows.   It will provide each Fellow with a $10,000 stipend, a prototyping fee, workspace and access to a multi-week summer program featuring a “Silicon Valley Immersion Week” that includes company visits and access to VCs, mentors and Stern alumni.  Fellows will continue to receive mentorship support in their second year at Stern and can opt to earn course credit through a faculty-supervised independent study in which they can focus on their start up.

Please note: As a member of SVF, you are eligible to receive all associated benefits to work on your venture full time over the summer. As a member of SVF, you are committing to your full attention to your venture via SVF and therefore may not take part in any other NYU Summer programs.

The Stern Ventures Fellowship (SVF) was established by a generous $1 million lead gift from David Ko (BS ’93) and his wife Jennifer Ko. Learn more by reading the full Stern press release.
