NYU Stern Hires Former Columbia Business School Executive Director for Executive Education; Appoints New Academic Dean
New York, NY, May 3, 2006 – In a restructuring of its Executive Programs business, New York University Stern School of Business welcomed Jaki Sitterle to Stern from Columbia Business School as managing director of Executive Programs, and appointed NYU Stern Professor Paul R. Brown as associate dean for Executive MBA Programs. The School’s Executive Programs area encompasses the Executive MBA program, TRIUM Global Executive MBA program (an alliance with the London School of Economics and HEC Paris), and corporate degree and non-degree custom program offerings. With the enhanced integration of business and academic leadership, Stern will be poised to further enrich the educational experience it provides to its students and corporate clients.

Sitterle will lead corporate outreach, marketing, admissions and global programs, bringing her extensive experience in executive education and new business development to Stern. In her former role as Executive Director of Custom and New Business Development for Executive Education at Columbia Business School, Sitterle directed global outreach to multinational clients in, what is today, Columbia’s multi-million dollar executive education business. She also has considerable client-side experience, having worked in senior positions in both for-profit and non-profit entities in the US and England.

In his role as associate dean for Executive MBA Programs, Brown will lead all academic, student and operational responsibilities. He is former chair of Stern’s Accounting Department and the current academic director of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA program. Brown is a respected scholar and teacher, having received Stern’s Executive Education Teaching Excellence Award in 2002 and 2004, and an experienced academic director.
