The NYU Stern Executive MBA program is pleased to welcome its newest group of executives, who began classes this August 2009 (A11s).
The newly admitted A11s form a highly experienced class, with an average age of 38 and an average of 14 years of work experience. The class is comprised of 15 women, or about 31% of the class.
The A11s come from diverse professional backgrounds, representing companies such as Barclays Global Investors, Citigroup, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, McCann Erickson, Merck and Morgan Stanley and include several senior attorneys, physicians, entrepreneurs, financial experts and engineers. The A11s originate from 12 different countries and have international work experience from multiple continents around the globe.
In addition to professional diversity, the A11 students have broadly varied personal accomplishments. Among the A11s are an inventor of over 30 patents, a former professional soccer player who represented Nigeria in the Under-17 World Cup, a surgeon who performed the first laparoscopy in Afghanistan’s history and an independent film producer who contributed to the movie Ray.
