Welcome Executive MBA January Class of 2012

The NYU Stern Executive MBA program is pleased to welcome its newest group of executives, who began classes this January 2010 (J12s).

The newly admitted J12s are a highly experienced class, with an average age of 38 and an average of 14 years of work experience. The J12s have diverse professional backgrounds, representing companies such as American Express, GE, Goldman Sachs, HBO, Novartis and UBS, and include attorneys, physicians, financial experts, engineers and entrepreneurs (40 percent of J12s have started their own businesses). The J12s originate from eight different countries and have international work experience from multiple continents around the globe.

In addition to professional diversity, the J12 students have broadly varied academic and personal accomplishments. Among the J12s we have a prominent cancer researcher with over 500 published works; a tank commander who served in the Iraqi War; a futures and equities consultant who is a regular guest on CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg; and a former competitive skydiver who has also received awards for his sound editing work on films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Men in Black.
