In Conversation with the Dean featuring Lorenzo Fertitta (MBA '93)

Date

We are pleased to invite the Stern community to a virtual event series featuring conversations with distinguished leaders about the impacts of COVID-19 on their businesses and industries.

We hope you will join us for the upcoming conversation with Lorenzo Fertitta (MBA '93).  Lorenzo is an American entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, who is dedicated to supporting veterans causes.  At NYU Stern, he and his brother, Frank Fertitta III, established the Fertitta Veterans MBA Program with a transformational naming gift.

Lorenzo is Chairman and Principal of Fertitta Capital, a private capital firm focused in media, entertainment and technology, and Vice Chairman of Red Rock Resorts (formerly known as Station Casinos), one of the leading hospitality and publicly traded gaming companies in the U.S.  Lorenzo is also the former CEO of UFC, which he and Frank rescued from near bankruptcy with a $2 million purchase in 2001 and later sold for $4 billion in 2017. The sale was widely reported as the single largest transaction in professional sports history at that time.  Lorenzo and Dean Sundaram will discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on entrepreneurship, and the hospitality and media and entertainment industries, among other topics.
